Clay in the potter’s hands

Jeremiah 18:6 He said, “Can I not do with you, Israel, as this potter does?” declares the Lord. “Like clay in the hand of the potter, so are you in my hand, Israel.

I love how God used the potter and clay to describe how He  carefully designs and watches over us, He is aware of every aspect of our lives even the one’s we think are not visible to people. God is so involved in our lives, He wants to see us become everything He has intended for us to be.  Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. This potter has plans for you, He is so careful with the process because He wants to make sure that every plan is achieved. Our Father’s plans for us are so clear, if we could focus on this entirely and let this be the only reality we recognise the end results would be those of our Father.

There is never a time that a potter will shift his eyes on the vessel he is working on, he gives all his attention to the masterpiece before him. I can imagine people asking what he sees in that clay but see the potter knows what he is doing, he knows what that clay will turn into. So is our Father, He works on each and everyone of us with so much attention. In Phillipians 2 apostle Paul made us aware of God’s work in our lives. Verse 13reads ” for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.” There is God’s purpose at work in us and  since we are His we are being shaped into Jeremiah 29:11. When Joseph had a dream and shared it with his brothers a story begun, his brothers sold him while other  people tried removing him from every position he was put in but the Potter was still busy with him. Everywhere he went the bible says people could see that God was with Him. Even in the making God was still seen through Joseph’s life, this is where a lot of people tend to give up. Some complain that it’s taking time and others might even say God has forgotten about them not realising that He is there. He’s forever present, never absent. Joseph’s dream went beyond the people around him, the whole world had to come and bow before him so he had to be put in the right position and with the right people next to him. The king had a dream and needed an interpreter, no one could interpret his dream. One fellow who Joseph once assisted remembered him and mentioned his name to the king, Joseph came and indeed told the king what his dream meant. He was put in charge of the whole land of Egypt and what started as a dream was now a reality. Everyone would come to Egypt during the 7 years of famine and ask for food from them, Joseph was the one in charge of this. His story is beautiful please read it in Genesis. I loved how the Potter was working on this clay and until it turned out the way God designed it to be the story could not end. God will not sleep on you, I pray you have that assurance. Whatever is going in your life be sure that there is a Potter at work in you

Job went through a lot of tests that his wife told him to just curse God and die but the man remained faithful. He trusted His God, he had an absolute assurance that God is attending to him. In the end everything that was taken from him was restored. Allow God to shape you and also position you in the right places. There are people that are waiting for your arrival and your arrival is not just an ordinary one. It’s an appointment made by our Father, for His kingdom. Your life will not end as clay, there is a beautiful vessel inside of you that God is bringing out. Keep resting in His word, that picture God gave you concerning your life is your reality. Let the Potter work on you so that you are ready for the next phase, whatever seems or feels like a delay is all part of God’s strategy. Open your heart and let the Potter do it for you, DO NOT FORGET TO PRAY. Prayer will transmit God’s message into your spirit so that you do not panic or feel anxious, prayer will bring clarity and hope in to any situation you find yourself in.

This Potter is relevant for any situation and age, He is not just for a specific group of people. So look at your current need, I am sure that God will turn it around. All things are working together for your good, not somethings  but all things. If you love God like apostle Paul said in Romans 8:28 then my sister and brother, all things are working together for your good. Your potter is not just any man but it’s God. I AM is your potter, cheer up. You are more than a conqueror, stop selling yourself short. You are capable and called to hold those higher positions, to own a business, be a spouse, a parent, to be free from any sickness or pain, to live the best life made by God, to lead that ministry, to be an example to God’s people, YOU HAVE BEEN ANOINTED FOR SUCH A LIFE. Put any kind of life you desire and believe God has called you into and say; “I am anointed and called to be that”. Hallelujah

I pray that you get to experience the Potter’s plans for your life, He is watching over you. He will never leave you nor forsake you, my dear sister and brother you are in the right hands. Trust Him. Be  confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ (Philippians 1:6). Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. (Philippians4:4).

Shalom.
