““You will know me as ‘I AM’ after you have lifted me up from the earth as the Son of Man. Then you will realize that I do nothing on my own initiative, but I only speak the truth that the Father has revealed to me. I am his messenger and he is always with me, for I only do that which delights his heart.”” John 8:28-29 TPT
What a blessing to fully understand this revelation, to be sure that there is a God in heaven who has sent each and everyone of us to this world. He has sent us as His children, He knows what we are capable of. He has put so much power in us to do and to be.
Jesus always acknowledged God, there’s never a time you’d hear Him speak of His own ability. He knew and understood that He is a Son to a very big God. A God who initially made us for Himself, even thou His plan was corrupted He still made a way for us to be His. What a loving Father, to look beyond our wrong doings and just love us. Genesis 1:26TPT says; “So God created man and woman and shaped them with his image inside them. In his own beautiful image, he created his masterpiece. Yes, male and female he created them.” Everything about us resembles God, He looked at Himself and wanted to replicate. Not just replication in image but also in the way that He operates. So He gave us dominion. See God made all things, so He must have put some sort of intelligence in creation to respond when He speaks or when His children speak. If we are His children then when creation sees us, it sees Him. It has to respond, in Isaiah 55:12-13 God spoke through prophet Isaiah to His people. He said; ““So you will go out from there with joy. You will be led out in peace. When you come to the mountains and hills, they will begin singing. All the trees in the fields will clap their hands. Large cypress trees will grow where there were thornbushes. Myrtle trees will grow where there were weeds. All this will happen to make the Lord known, to be a permanent reminder of his goodness and power.”” Our existence is for our Father’s pleasure, He made us for His glory. We are the Father’s testimony, the angels look at us and see God’s goodness.
When He made us He made His children, those He will never leave or abandon. Moses knew this, if you look at most of his conversations with Joshua and the Israelites, he always encouraged them that God will never leave them nor forsake them. Moses’s journey with God was that of a Father and a son, when sometimes the journey got abit too much he could run to Him and he always came back with a clear mind and a solution. So he knew, he saw it and he lived it (Deuteronomy 31).
Apostle Paul said; “Yet we don’t see ourselves as capable enough to do anything in our own strength, for our true competence flows from God’s empowering presence.” 2 Corinthians 3:5 TPT. Our ability to do is from our Father. He has trusted us with so much and also gave us the wisdom and ability. So when it’s time for you to step into that office as designated by heaven, be confident because it’s the Father’s competence at work in you. David said; “… you anoint my head with oil…”. (Psalm 23). Whatever that office requires, you will give because there’s the Father’s anointing on your head.
This Father is also full of mercy, mercy that qualifies us and puts us ahead in life. He always extends the gift of mercy to His children (Hebrews 4:16).He gave us eternal life when He sent Jesus on earth and also saw us worthy of having a seat next to King Jesus. Nothing in this life can make God change His mind concerning us, He disregarded sin and offered us mercy so that we become His again. Our Father’s mercy made us right with Him. It removed every imperfection and gave us a life God initially made for us.
He’s slow to anger, when He could have turned His back on us , He didn’t. He still made a way for us to dwell in His presence and Him in us. I don’t know about you but I call that love. He did all this so that we can fully understand what love is, apostle Paul said; “… this love surpasses knowledge”. It’s too big to comprehend but we know it exists and the more you get knowledge about it, you are filled with the fullness of our Father. He is love! Imagine a world that is full of love? Tell me if there would be any bad things happening if love reigned in our hearts? Where there’s love, there’s God. Let’s take this love to more people so that God can reign in every men and women in the world.
One day Jesus will come back and take us to be with our Father. He will present us to God and each of us will get a moment of applause , for what We did with that which Our Father entrusted us with.
I pray that you always remember that you have a Father in heaven who loves you. One who calls you by name and anointed you for this time. He clothed you with love, grace and mercy and He calls you; His. I pray that you never forget that you have His identity, all that you do should be authorised by Him. I pray that the Holy Spirit quickens you in every area of your life . May our Father’s love and presence overwhelm you in this hour, amen!
