Isaiah 43: 7 Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.
Created for God’s glory, what a beautiful revelation. To know that everything that happens in you, through you and around you is for the Master’s glory. The scripture reference shows us that it’s not everyone who is created for such a life, only those called by the Lord’s name. We have been called and positioned for this. It’s not that we seem helpless, there’s God’s glory that must be seen and in order for His glory to be seen we ought to move when He says move. We don’t act because the timing feels right but rather we act when He says so.
Mark 5:25-34 introduces a certain woman to us, a woman with the issue of blood. She experienced this for 12 years, even thou many years had passed and many people were telling her to give up but she heard of King Jesus. She probably thought if Jesus could heal others what is my issue to Him. She had made up her mind that she just wants to touch the Master’s garment. She then reached out to touch Jesus garment and instantly she was healed. Her reality is now preached to many in the church, for 12 years God had been positioning her for such a miracle. Something had been working inside of her so that the glory of the Father is seen through her. I am reminded of Papa Abraham who the bible says in Roman 4:18 Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be. The man had received a word and was fully convinced that it will happen, through faith he had been positioned for God’s glory and its through Abraham’s life that we learn that God does exactly what He says He will do.
We as God’s children have to experience His sovereignty, we have to also display it through our lives and our testimonies. This is not “bad things happen to good people” type of situation, it’s knowing that every moment in our lives is designed to show forth God’s power and majesty. There’s nothing normal about this. When at a wedding with His disciples, the bible says that the wine had finished and Jesus mother alerted Him about this. He told His mother that His time had not yet come but Mary told the servants to do whatever He tells them to do. “Fill the jars with water”, the Master said. He continued to say “now dip some out, and take it to the master of ceremonies”. The servant did so and the bible says that when the master of ceremonies tasted this specific wine he commended ; John 2: 10 “and said, “Everyone brings out the choice wine first and then the cheaper wine after the guests have had too much to drink; but you have saved the best till now.” The glory of the Father is revealed on this day, God turned water into wine (the best wine). With His unusual methods He did what no man could do and He still does that even today. Faith is required for this kind of a life, Faith is you seeing everything God is and becoming everything He has said you are now. Abraham held on to what God said because there was so much faith in Him. He believed in the sovereignty of our Father. His life must have been positioned for God’s glory, what seemed as a delay is a testimony worth hearing now. One that gives hope to many, God took center stage in this story. In Luke 5, Peter and his friends have been fishing for the night and on this specific day Jesus asked to use his boat so that people He had been preaching to could hear Him. At the end of the fellowship Jesus now tells Peter to throw in the net again into the water for a catch and in verse 5 Simon answered, “Master, we’ve worked hard all night and haven’t caught anything. But because you say so, I will let down the nets.” When they did so the bible says that they caught a lot of fish that their nets began to break, their partners had to come and help them. Again the Lord’s power is revealed, His glory is realised. Because the Lord said now throw in the net, all of the fish in the sea gathered for Peter’s benefit. Peter had to be at the sea this day, maybe stressed that they could not catch any fish the whole night but all of this showed the Lord’s glory in the end.
You have been created for such a life and I pray that you don’t let the momentary circumstances remove you from the position God has put you in. Let God’s glory be seen in your life, whatever is happening now like Mary said ;”do everything He tells you to do”. The glory of the Lord will be seen through you. If it looks like its taking time or things are getting worse stay in His word. Let Him tell you what your next move is, I pray that you allow Him to do the unusual through your life. Even in that exciting moment testify of His goodness.
May this remind you of the eternal glory that is described in 2 Corinthians 4:17, one that is much greater than any trouble. You have been positioned, cheer up. Our Father knows what He is doing with you, there is His purpose in every aspect of your life. His glory will be seen.
God bless you.
