Though our physical form is visible, our true essence—the origin and residence of our thoughts—is an unseen inner part of us. Every action in the physical realm is preceded by an internal decision made by this inner person. The nature of our daily decisions and actions is a direct reflection of what we nourish within that inner core. In this week’s blog post, we are focusing on the inner man, providing practical ways on how to feed your soul so that you are strengthened from within. We are Spirit beings in the likeness of God, our Father. When Jesus was led into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil, He knew how to respond to every temptation the devil presented. This is the result of a person who carefully watches what goes into his inner self. When his soul is conscious of the truth, he can endure anything (Matthew 4:1-11).
We receive the word of God through our inmost being; therefore transformation begins internally first. Our meditation on scriptures daily, cultivates our faith , enabling us to perceive the Lord’s work. When the disciples would sometimes forget what Jesus had said or taught them, Jesus would bring up previous lessons, which suggests He wanted His disciples to move beyond hearing the words and truly internalize God’s message spiritually. He always likened this to faith. The More of God’s word we take in, the more the inner man is strengthened and we are able to withstand anything. Think of Job, this man must have trusted God to a great degree to have went through all that but still refused to curse God. When everything else suggested that he gives in, his inner man was strong allowing Job to hold on no matter how things looked. People around him saw failure, sickness, loss, pain and many other negative outcomes that could point out that maybe God is not there. But Job refused to believe that God had forgotten about him. Yes, he was hurting, he was in pain, still he remained steadfast and unshaken. When the world expected him to turn away from God, what he had known from within about our Heavenly Father lifted him and carried him to his victory. God’s word clarifies our vision so that we can see beyond anything. Feed your soul with the word of God, let it bring strength and hope for any situation. Go back to the word, read it, mediate on it, believe it and apply it. Then like King David we can boldly say; “By your words I can see where I’m going; they throw a beam of light on my dark path. I’ve committed myself and I’ll never turn back from living by your righteous order. Everything’s falling apart on me, God; put me together again with your Word. Adorn me with your finest sayings, God; teach me your holy rules. My life is as close as my own hands, but I don’t forget what you have revealed. The wicked do their best to throw me off track, but I don’t swerve an inch from your course. I inherited your book on living; it’s mine forever— what a gift! And how happy it makes me! I concentrate on doing exactly what you say— I always have and always will. * * *”

The second important thing that strengthens our inner man is prayer, in 1Thessalonians5:17 apostle said; “Make your life a prayer.” Pray without stopping, when we can pray continually we are able to gain access into realms that are not seen or known in the physical. I’ve heard people say that this is one area of their walk the enemy tries to challenge, he knows that without prayer there won’t be any communication between us and our Father. The moment communication ceases, guidance is lost, identity is stolen, and people grow listless and helpless. We have been given the privilege to pray so that we can see what God sees, it’s in prayer that we can apply the authority that we’ve been given. I remember seeing a picture online a few years back; the artwork depicted our transformation through prayer. We entered the prayer room feeling timid like cats but emerged as bold lions. I encourage to pray, now that the year is coming to an end spend time with God in prayer. Find out about the year ahead, let Heaven draw a plan for you. Pray for everyone, including yourself. Make sure that as you enter 2026, you’ve interceded for that year. Pray that you not going in it alone; grace, mercy, favour and all of Heaven is accompanying you.
Thirdly what strengthens our inner man is the Holy Spirit; the one who speaks the mind of God, the one who was there before time, the gift Jesus said that God Himself will send for us. The Holy Spirit lives inside of us, and He came to make sure that we remain strong and vibrant. Though the road ahead is long and unknown, the Holy Spirit helps us look forward to the future with strength and hope. “Meanwhile, the moment we get tired in the waiting, God’s Spirit is right alongside helping us along. If we don’t know how or what to pray, it doesn’t matter. He does our praying in and for us, making prayer out of our wordless sighs, our aching groans. He knows us far better than we know ourselves, knows our pregnant condition, and keeps us present before God. That’s why we can be so sure that every detail in our lives of love for God is worked into something good.”Romans 8:26-28 MSG. The Holy Spirit covers our weaknesses, He turns those moments into revivals. When it looks like we won’t be bouncing back, He quickly picks us up and removes the dust, then overwhelm us with His presence. His presence is beautiful, peaceful and full of life. Spend time with the Holy Spirit, allow Him to heal you from within. He needs to present us without spots and blemishes to Jesus, so this is necessary. Let Him prepare you from the inside, He knows best.
Invest in caring for your inner man; nurture it. Your inner self is sustaining you, even on days when your body feels weak or unwilling. Inquire of the Holy Spirit what needs to be removed from your life to ensure your inner self remains perpetually strong.
“But you, my delightfully loved friends, constantly and progressively build yourselves up on the foundation of your most holy faith by praying every moment in the Spirit.”

I pray that you build your inner man on the foundation of your most holy faith, I pray that in the midst of challenges, trials and tribulations all Heaven overwhelms you and heal you. As you study the word, pray continually and fellowship with the Holy Spirit, I pray that your inner man is strengthened and able to withstand anything that comes your way.
