Led by the Holy Spirit

For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.”” Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭14‬-‭15‬ ‭NIV‬‬

In John 16:13 Jesus said; “But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.” The Holy Spirit has come to lead us, His leadership is not to confusion or frustrations but to truth. He has come to guide us, making sure we eventually get to a place Jesus had planned for us. The plan God has for our lives is bigger and much more important to Him, hence He sent the Holy Spirit to make sure that with His leadership we get there. I’m thinking Jesus took into consideration the momentary circumstances that might try shake our journey, so we had to be accompanied by the one who only recognises truth. When something that doesn’t sound or look like truth comes, He’s not shaken. You might be feeling weak or tired but the Spirit inside of you brings strength (Ephesians3:16). He carries you on days you feel somehow, when you can’t explain the feeling. He’s there making sure that you are not overwhelmed by anything else but Him. Trust the one leading you now, trust Him with your life.

In Ezekiel 37, we see a man who was led by Spirit into an unusual place but nonetheless he followed the instruction. “The place was full of bones that were very dry”, he explains. “Can these bones live?”, God asked him. Not sure of the answer he said ; “ only you know Lord”. Even when he didn’t know the answer God didn’t say we’ll try this another day, He guided His son. Firstly, God told him to prophesy to the bones. The words he was about to speak are not of man but God, it’s prophesy. There had to be a response. Before he could work he prophesied, the bones now knew that they are coming alive, no matter how long it’s been. A man led by the Spirit had come to bring life. while prophesying he had a sound, he looked and the bones came together. Every bone was where it’s suppose to be. Then God gave the last and final instruction, “breathe into these slain, that they may live”. Ezekiel did exactly that and he says ; “ they came to life and stood up on their feet – a vast army”. The leadership of the Holy Spirit will deliver you to that place, dream or vision. No matter how it looks, He will clear the path for you so that you get there. Like Ezekiel He will even guide what comes out of your mouth, He will fill your mouth with prophesy and cause you to only think and say the mind of God. We are led!

Be confident about the one who was sent. He brings strength, power, insight and many other things. I could write so many truths about the Holy Spirit, He’s really been with me. Faithfully and carefully guiding me, I know He’s done so much in you as well. Think of those moments and see how much He can be trusted. Being led by Him shows Who we belong to, what a great honor for our Father to have given us His best. Someone to journey with us, be with us and get us where only God wants us. Enquire from Him, be open with the Holy Spirit. He knows your momentary frustrations, be open and let Him heal your heart, your mind, body and soul. Refuse to enquire from anyone else but Him. If He’s going to talk through people in a certain season, let Him be the one who will bring those people or take you to them. Let’s live this life as people who are led, be cautious ( “Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise,”Ephesians‬ ‭5‬:‭15‬ ‭NIV‬‬).

I pray that the Spirit of truth takes dominance in your life each day, I pray that you accept His leadership as He leads you into a triumphant life. May you feel His comfort each day and walk in the consciousness of a person who is led by the Holy Spirit. Amen

We are in the right hands.
